Dragon’s Dogma anime gets debut trailer, airs September 17
Following the initial announcement, a debut trailer for the Netflix anime adaptation of Dragon’s Dogma is now available, which you can view below:
Dragon’s Dogma is the 2012 open world action game from Capcom and has sold 5.3 million copies around the world as of 30 June, 2020.
A story overview from an official press release reads as follows:
After more than 100 years, the dragon suddenly appeared and consumed the village.
Ethan confronts the dragon to protect his beloved family, but his heart was taken by the dragon. Ethan, who seemed to have died, revives as the “Arisen” and embarks on a journey to regain his heart with Hannah, the Pawn who suddenly appeared in front of Ethan.
While continuing the journey, Ethan will battle with monsters that embody the seven deadly sins, but each time he defeats the monster, he himself will also gradually lose his humanity…
The upcoming anime adaptation will be a 7 episode series signifying each of the seven deadly sins and will be directed by Shinya Sugai with character designs from Kaoru Nishimura and Animation production from Sublimation.
Dragon’s Dogma is scheduled to be aired on September 17, 2020 only on Netflix.
