This is somewhat surprising, given the fact that The Last of Us Part II was very divisive among gamers and critics. While majority of the reviews of the game, including our own, were overwhelmingly positive, players voiced their displeasure and how it treated the characters from the first game. The players proceeded to review bomb the game on the same site (Metacritic), even going as far as sending hate messages to the cast and talent of the game. Based on these latest results, they seem to have been a vocal minority, as the latest from Naughty Dog even swept multiple awards shows like The Game Awards and The Golden Joysticks.
