SEGA has announced that Sonic Frontiers’ third massive free content update, The Final Horizon, is coming on September 28, 2023.

This third update adds a new story on Ouranos Island and introduces Amy, Knuckles, and Tails as playable characters. Players will be able to use their abilities to complete the new challenges and missions and enjoy a brand-new ending to the game.

In other Sonic-related news, an Asia Limited Edition was also revealed for Sonic Superstars and will include:

• Base game (Physical Edition Only)
• An exclusive 80mm figure of Sonic the Hedgehog alongside the Chaos Emeralds.
• A 150mm x 105mm acrylic stand featuring the key visual of Sonic Superstars.
• A 170mm x 210mm reproduction artwork showcasing an illustration of the original Sonic the Hedgehog, personally signed by Takashi Iizuka, the Sonic series’ general producer, and Naoto Ohshima, the character designer of the original Sonic the Hedgehog. The artwork is elegantly encased in a wooden frame.
