Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Surpasses Three Million Copies Sold Worldwide
Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster has surpassed three million units shipped and downloaded worldwide.
The game was released on PC via Steam and mobile devices back in 2021, but the Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster was delayed to February 2022. The collection was then released in April 2023 for the PlayStation 4 and Switch, bringing with it all the magic of the originals combined with quality-of-life upgrades while staying faithful to the retro design of these classic masterpieces.
These pixel remasters are a collection of Final Fantasy I to VI, with each title being revived from the original version with vivid 2D graphics and sound. Also, a bestiary, sound player, and illustration gallery have been added for a deeper enjoyment of the world.
Additionally, other features such as BGM switching and boost features, including switching off random encounters and adjusting experience gain, have been added for a more casual and wider range of play styles.
