Tekken 8 Sells Over 2 Million Units Worldwide In Its First Month
Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia has announced that Tekken 8 has now sold over 2 million units in its first month after release.
The latest installment in the critically acclaimed series sold over 1 million units just on its first day, and now it has sold over a million more to close out its first month in style. Support for the game will continue through various content updates, esports events, music, and licensing announcements.
Marking the next chapter in Tekken esports, the Tekken World Tour 2024 is set to commence on April 13, 2024. As players battle it out across various events worldwide, participants will accumulate points and ascend the rankings. Their ultimate goal is to secure a spot in the prestigious grand finals and vie for the title of the world’s best Tekken 8 player.
In addition to the competitive scene, the game will also introduce the Tekken Shop, an in-game store where players can personalize their experience with customization items, from costumes inspired by previous installments to character skins and licensed collaborations.
