Oddworld Soulstorm, Axiom Verge 2, and more shown at Epic Games Spring Showcase
Earlier today, Epic Games Store curated a collection of new announcements, game play, and extended look at some games slated to release in 2021. Among the standouts include Axiom Verge 2, Oddworld Soulstorm, and the full Kingdom Hearts franchise finally on PC.
While they’re mostly on PC, some of these games have console releases that you may also be interested in. Without further ado, here are some of the standouts from the showcase.
Chivalry 2
- Expected Release Date: June 8, 2021
- Closed Beta on March 26, 2021 (with a pre-order from Epic Games Store)
- Platforms: On PC exclusively via Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series
Chivalry 2 is exclusive on the Epic Games Store on the PC with access to the closed beta will be made available with a pre-order from said store.
Sherlock Holmes Chapter One
Expected Release Date: 2021
Platforms: PC (Epic Games Store), PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One
One of the titles shown on the Focus Interactive sizzle reel after Chivalry 2 features an open world Sherlock Holmes game from Frogwares. I can’t wait for more details.
King’s Bounty 2
- Expected Release Date: August 24, 2021
- Platforms: On the PC exclusively from the Epic Games Store, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch
Initially announced with a March 2021 release, it is confirmed that it will be delayed to August 24.
Oddworld Soulstorm
- Expected Release Date: Spring 2021
- Platforms: PS5, PS4, PC
- Available for pre-order on the Epic Games Store
While it says Spring 2021, hopefully it drops on May alongside some heavy hitters such as Resident Evil Village and Mass Effect The Legendary Collection. At least it isn’t PC exclusive like Chivalry 2.
Axiom Verge 2
Expected Release Date: 2021
Platform: On PC exclusively from the Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch
The last surprise from the Epic Spring Showcase highlights the sequel to the critically acclaimed Axiom Verge. With a date of 2021 being announced and some game play footage, hopefully this drops some time this year.
