Ubisoft have delayed Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine
Ubisoft have delayed both Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine to an undefined date after April 1, 2021.
This comes on the heels of Ubisoft’s earnings report (via Gematsu), stating that development for both titles have been hindered by the work from home process due to COVID. The part of the report that talks about the delay reads as follows:
“Benefitting from this strong momentum and despite having moved Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine to 2021-22 to leverage their full potential in the context of production challenges caused by COVID-19, our new non-IFRS operating income targets for 2020-21 remain within the boundaries we set back in May.“
As indicated in the report, 2021-22 means the fiscal year of, and that starts after April 1, 2021 and ends on March 21, 2022. No new date of release has been given for both of these titles.
Far Cry 6 was initially scheduled for a February 18, 2021 launch.
